Every new boat sold via Boat Monster comes with the standard manufacturer’s warranty covering the hull. Each manufacturer has a different warranty so if you would like more information, please use the contact form, or contact us via phone.
As an authorised installer for Navico, Simrad, Lowrance and B&G products we are covered for the period stated for the applicable product and/or peripheral device as set out in the Warranty Period Matrix from the date of first purchase (the Warranty Period).
We do not carry stock of all the boats we have access to as it would be impossible to find the space to fit them all! However, if we do carry the brand and model of boat you are interested in looking at, and it is in a location near to you we can arrange an inspection.
If you would like more information on any boat, check our library of on water handling videos located on each individual boat’s page.
Any boats listed on Boat Monster at 9.0 metres in length, or below, will come with an optional trailer which you can select during the online ordering process. Boats over 9.0 metres in length will come on a cradle.
One of the first things you should do is to accurately determine exactly how much you are towing. The Boat Monster specifications panel for each boat should give you the boat’s dry weight. And you should be able to estimate a trailer weight, or simply ask. If the weight works out to be less than roughly 1500kgs, then a mid-sized SUV will be enough. When your boat is over 1500kgs and below say, 2000kgs, you could step up to a slightly larger vehicle again such as a large SUV.
If your boat and trailer are over 2,000kgs, then the best choice may well be a dual cab ute. Most can tow up to or over 3,000kgs.
Please also remember that each state or territory has different rules around towing and tow limits. Be sure to check the rules for your local state or territory and/or destination state or territory if towing interstate.
Boat Monster supplied engines are usually bolted on the hull at the factory level. We believe that this is the best option for our customers. Therefore, in most cases the engines are from overseas, but on your behalf Boat Monster have secured local Australian manufacturer’s warranty on outboard engines, regardless of the location of origin. This local warranty only applies if the engine is serviced by an authorised manufacturers repair agent within Australia.

We rig our engines at the factory level while the boat is being built. We believe this offers customers the best result in terms of getting their boat faster and ready to hit the water. Rigging is completed while the boat is being built offering advantageous time efficiencies.
All the boats on Boat Monster have a listed maximum horsepower. This allows you to know what the maximum allowable horsepower you can have on the boat without overloading the hull. You do not have to choose the maximum horsepower. The general rule of thumb is that the maximum level will offer the best performance but selecting an outboard near the maximum will still deliver impressive performance. Of course, there is a point where lower horsepower engines will not do the job and Boat Monster are able to help you choose the most suitable engines for your boat.
When it comes to choosing the right engine set up for your boat, firstly, check the Boat Monster specifications for your chosen model. Some boats can only take a single outboard, others can take twin outboards. There are advantages and disadvantages to each set up and often this comes down to personal choice. For example, there are cost savings for a single outboard set up, but on the flip side, it is almost certainly going to be running harder than a boat with two engines working at ¾ effort, achieving a similar speed. In addition, offshore anglers often appreciate the safety of a twin outboard set up where if one engine fails, you can still get back to port. The choice is always yours, but Boat Monster can help with that difficult decision.
Boat Monster can talk you through what options there are for marine electronics and show you what other customer ordering a similar model have chosen.
We have experience across fishing and general recreational boating and will be happy to guide you through the choices to ensure that you get the right electronics to suit your boating style. Based on your usage, we can put together a list of options.
Boat Monster source all electronics locally to ensure that they are compatible with networks in the country of intended use. Boat Monster are an authorised installer for Navico products including Simrad and Lowrance.
You can choose your electronics package while the boat is on ocean freight. This ensures that you have access to the latest electronics available in your country of intended use.
Boat Monster, or one of our state dealers can fit all marine electronics, depending on where you are located. If you have a preferred installer, we can supply the units to them for install, however, they must be an authorised installer for the chosen brand for warranty purposes.
