The 272 Centre Console is fast, responsive and a pleasure to drive. 8.2 metres of adrenalin and fun, while also being the consummate offshore fishing platform. Not too big, yet with all the attributes of a bigger boat. The Tidewater 272 CC rides on Tidewater’s proprietary grid stringer and foam filled hull with a solid 21-degree deadrise.
The bow uses a split seating design with two benches running either side of the hull. In the centre, a drop-down table converts the area into a casting platform or serves as an excellent entertaining area or sunlounge with the optional cushions. Underway twin backrests for the seats turn this area into a bowrider configuration so the world is really your oyster.
Fishing is catered for with spacious room around the console, at the bow and behind the helm seats, allowing you to troll, and drop bait or jigs. This is truly a versatile boat with fishing boxes/kill tanks either side of the hull, large live wells, rod storage and a fresh water washdown.
The console is offers great protection as does a hard top overhead. You can have a toilet down in the console for added convenience and comfort. There is plenty of room for a starship style dashboard with all manner of electronics. The space is amazing.

One of the many advantages of owning a Tidewater is performance. Not only do they consider speed and economy on all their boats but also how comfortable, stable and dry they are. And they know that conditions can vary from day to day. The Carolina Flare diverts water away from the bow. Chines direct water down and out from the boat while several spray relief points eliminate water coming into the cockpit.
To achieve this, Tidewater boats are wider from chine to chine eliminating large bow rises. The chines are also reverse, creating downward pressure on the water and delivering a cushioned ride. Tidewater call it the dry Chine Ride or DCR.
The hull construction is an exclusive Corrugated Grid Stringer Vertebra design, or CGSV which is optimised for each different sized boat in the range. The hulls are also foam filled which reduces water noise and ensures a quiet ride.
